The project involved removing and replacing the pitched roofs of the school, which covered most of its footprint and teaching areas. This included the associated flat roof sections and box gutters. Two lead turrets were also replaced, along with all related lead flashings, soakers, and lead cheeks of appropriate thickness.
These roofing activities had to meet the requirements of both Part L (Insulation) and Part F (Ventilation) of the current Building Regulations. Additionally, all external guttering, downpipes, and a set of external decoration works were replaced, including new uPVC cladding on dormer cheeks. The project also included replacing all CCTV, external lighting, and lightning protection systems. Remedial Stone Masonry works were carried out on the main entrance archway as well.
